📸 Carry Hard Copy of Your Photograph
Some U.S. visa applicants in India have recently received emails from the consular support desk requesting that they carry a hard copy of their photograph (50 mm x 50 mm / 2 inch x 2 inch) for the consular interview. This is because the VAC may not have transmitted the photo captured during the biometrics appointment.
🔍 This is not applicable to all applicants.
Please check your email inbox (and spam folder) for any communication from the support desk and carry the required photo if instructed.

📄 DS-160 Retrieval Issues at Consulates in India
There have also been recent reports of DS-160 forms not being retrievable by consular officers in India, resulting in interview postponements, sometimes more than once.
💡 While these are concerning developments, there is no need to panic. We expect the U.S. Consular Mission in India to resolve these technical issues soon.

If you've faced photo issues or DS-160 retrieval problems, feel free to share your experience - it could help others in the community prepare better.
